ART for the Primary Student (K – 2nd grade) – This class will offer students an opportunity to express themselves through art by learning to draw, learning a variety of techniques, and working in a variety of media. Class fee: $15
ART for the Upper Elementary Student (3rd -7th grade, Ages 9 – 13) – This class will offer students an opportunity to express themselves through art by learning to draw, learning a variety of techniques, and working in a variety of media. Class fee: $15
Bible Story Hour- We will spend the hour praising Jesus
and learning more of His love for us. Class will begin with
Bible songs and then focus on studying the earthly ministry
of Jesus Class Fee: None
Ecology-We will explore all of Earth’s ecosystems during this trimester class.
Swimming Creatures (Apologia): Lower Elementary (1st-2nd) – This science class that will cover the Swimming Creatures of the 5th Day of Creation. The class includes activities at home and in class,notebook activities, special projects, and hands-on experiments to teach kids about aquatic animals, whales, seals, fish, sharks, reptiles, Cephalopods and many other creatures you didn’t even know existed! Class Fee: $15
Swimming Creatures (Apologia): Upper Elementary – (3rd-6th) This science class that will cover the Swimming Creatures of the 5th Day of Creation. Elementary P.E. (Physical Education): (Ages 7 – 14) This class will offer students an opportunity to learn gross motor skills, play games using a variety of equipment/skills. We will work on good sportsmanship, safety when playing in a large group, and following the rules of organized games.
Tea Time Literature- (1st -4th) This class will b a time to have some
tea and listen to some readings from classic literature.
Classroom discussions will follow the readings, and some
coloring sheets will be provided if the students would like to
color during the discussion time. Class Fee: none
Tea Time Adventures– (5th-8th)This class will be a time to have
some tea and listen to some adventurous readings from
classic literature. Classroom discussions will follow the
readings. Class Fee: none
Acting-(3rd-8th) Acting- Students develop verbal and non-verbal techniques to improve their acting abilities through games. Students memorize short skits & develop their characters. We “perform” skits in class week 9. I video record for private viewing of MCC families.Class Fee:$10
Life Of Fred Math- (1st -4th)Students will be read to in class and will answer a few questions after each chapter. We will go over basic math facts starting with addition. Class Fee: $5
Chemistry/Physics– In this class, we will explore basic chemistry, such as matter, mixtures and compounds, then students will move in chemistry, like motion, magnetism, energy, and simple machines. Class Fee: $15
Phonics- Will work on a new sound each week with worksheets and interactive games and activities. Will also work into reading simple words Class Fee: $10
ASL Level 1 – This is a beginner class, or no previous knowledge of ASL class, for kids to learn vocabulary and short phrases in ASL. Classes will be taught with resources like short videos, flashcards, games and practicing signs in class. The class will consist of learning new signs each week and using the signs within the classroom setting Class Fee: $10
Our Star Spangled Story– Elementary school history course that highlights key people and events in America from before the European immigration to modern times. Homeschool, biblical view curriculum with workbook lessons. Class Fee: None
Creative Read Aloud- Students will be read to in class while they choose something creative to do. Different creative manipulatives will be provided during class while students are encouraged to make a project that we build on through the trimester during the reading. Class Fee: $5
Elementary TLP (Total Language Plus)- As students read, they complete worksheets on comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar. They also choose from numerous enrichment ideas and writing topics relating to the reading assignment. Class Fee: $5
Cooking Thru the Ages– This class takes us on a fascinating international journey through civilizations across the ages, showing us who we were, how we lived, and why. But in addition to learning about this history, you’ll have the opportunity to taste it and smell it! Biblical times, Middle ages, Renaissance, Colonial, Victorian, Depression, Mid Century and modern times will be covered every 9 weeks over each trimester. Class Fees: $15
Liberty Kids– Students will be watching 2 episodes of Liberty Kids per class session. Additional coloring or worksheets may be included. Liberty Kids is a cartoon series following children living during the Revolutionary War. Class Fees: $5
Uncle Sam and You– Middle school history course that focuses on American government and civics. Homeschool, biblical view curriculum with workbook lessons. Class schedule will follow suggested textbook layout with approx. one unit due each week, and corresponding workbook lessons Class Fees: $0
